politics... just can't get away from them...

Its awful to admit that these horrible people are probably just sad closet cases... hate for ones self, and lying to ones self are two of the major reasons that I have voted for keeping your species down...

So, not 2 hours after receiving the first anti-administration commentary from one friend today, I received this second one:

Bush Explains Medicare Drug Bill -- Verbatim Quote

WOMAN IN AUDIENCE: 'I don't really understand. How is the new plan going to fix the problem?'

Verbatim response: PRESIDENT BUSH:
'Because the -- all which is on the table begins to address the big cost drivers. For example, how benefits are calculated, for example, is on the table. Whether or not benefits rise based upon wage increases or price increases. There's a series of parts of the formula that are being considered. And when you couple that, those different cost drivers, affecting those -- changing those with personal accounts, the idea is to get what has been promised more likely to be -- or closer delivered to that has been promised. Does that make any sense to you? It's kind of muddled. Look, there's a series of things that cause the -- like, for example, benefits are calculated based upon the increase of wages, as opposed to the increase of prices. Some have suggested that we calculate -- the benefits will rise based upon inflation, supposed to wage increases. There is a reform that would help solve the red if that were put into effect. In other words, how fast benefits grow, how fast the promised benefits grow, if those -- if that growth is affected, it will help on the red.'

Tooth Pain

Up most of the night again with tooth pain... This time it is my top left canine. Now since I haven't made a habit so far of writing about my medical problems in the blog I guess there should be some background here. For the most part, I just don't go to dentist. I mean I have been at various times in my life, but like with the regular doctor, I just have this really hard time wanting help from some stranger. So, I've been tot he dentist for an emergency root canal, or two, and extraction, or two, and even once, when mom paid for it, to have some cavities filled, and a broken front tooth "fixed". Just like I've been to the emergency room/doctor a couple of times when my fever has been way too high, or a bone might have been broken. But, after mom paid to have my front tooth fixed (it had gotten chipped really bad because the opposing bottom tooth has allways been a bit crooked and eventually just broke it), then I paid to have it fixed a second time, because the fix broke, and the detist told me that I would likely have to pay another $750 every couple of years to fix it when it broke. Thats when I just gave up.

And started buying Ambesol. Tooth pain gel; put it right where it hurts and the pain will go away. Shovel it into the cavities and eventually the nerve will die. No more root canals!

So my front tooth has stayed chipped, but I'm no longer afraid to smile. I just got over it. And one at t atime other teeth, mostly on the top, started to disentigrate and wear away... and eventually the Ambesol stopped working. So, then I found that the alcohol in a big swig of mouthwash, did an even better job of killing nerves (As well as cleaning out old Ambesol deposits.

The last quarter of 2004 through the first quarter of 2005 were really bad; lots of pain. But as I learned how to manage it, it all just went away, and altough there was still plenty of problems in there, I seemed to get past all of the infections, and bad nerves. And, while I had to dig at my teeth to clean out the food in the cavities at practically every bite of food, I didn't have pain for most of 2005.

Tne came this month, January 2006. About a thrid of the way into the month, I was munching on a lightly toasted tortilla, on the "good side" of my mouth, and crack! I broke the one really bad tooth on that side almost in half. It crumbled away. And, while it created a new excavation challenge, it didn't hurt. However, the next day, the canine on the other side went ballistic.

Now this canine was allready in pretty bad shape. This is the "bad side" of my mouth that we're talking about. But the canine hadn't given me any trouble before now. Sure it is in a line of five teeth on that side that just need to be removed, but it had never been a "problem." Now it is...

Ick, what use of a blog is this... whine whine whine...
