Catching up
This morning we visited Sky's blog, and found there his first post in over a year. I am wearing his sock cap this morning as I write this our first entry in several weeks. Sometimes life continues in such an orderly fashion that there doesn't seem to be much to say about it. but, actually, so much is going on that you have to realize, stop, and reflect. We miss you Sky, and hope you are well. Now that things are more stable for us now, you could come visit!We drove across the island for volleyball yesterday. The weather was pleasant on this side, but it rained fiercly on top of Kilauea, on the way over. Yet, by the time we got back down to sea level, though it was still cloudy, it was warm enough to play volleyball in the nude, in December!
We bring along ourselves and buckets of flowers that we sell to one of our volleyball friends. The jeep gets quite full this time of year, as the protea are really in bloom, and everybody wants flowers for xmas. The holiday season has us doing a lot of thinking about family. I feel that there is one of those long, wordy, posts coming any day now, maybe thats why I haven't posted that much lately.
Our household has decided to put our house on the potluck/movienight list. There is a group, about 3 or 4 dozen of us, that get together every other Sunday. The movie is never as important as the fellowship, and we always really enjoy time with the group. Because we live so far out (about an hour and a half drive for most people in the group) we were allways afraid that we wouldn't get a big enough crowd. Yet, after a year of asking around, and garnering interest, it looks like its worth a try! Probably February, we'll have car-pools of Big Island queers shipped in to Ocean View for a farm tour and party! Anyone not allready on the Hawaii movienight list who wants an invite, just let us know!
