Raj and Jokie were here!
Our good friends Raj and Jokie X Wilson were a couple of lucky blokes, and got to tour the islands on the Pride of Hawaii, a cruise ship that floats like a luxery hotel from island to island, stopping during the day to allow its paasengers to come ashore. They made it to our island twice, once for each side, since it SOOOO big... We met them at the Kona pier around 9am, and zipped them back to the flower farm for a tour, and of course took them to our beach at the end of the road to the sea.
What a treat, to see two of our favorite faeries here in our new home. Unbeknownst to us there was a high surf advisory Friday, thus the surf was the highest we had ever seen it. Nonetheless we hopped into the water and rode the waves. (Our island friends were impressed that we swam in 8 foot waves and were not swept out to sea.) And we took them to the tide pool where Jokie and Tolver adorned goggles to view the fishies, who are so friendly as to come up and nibble on offered toes and fingers.
We only had a few hours to spend with our friends from afar, so we made the most of it, and then bid a tearful goodbye as we dropped them back at the boat. We are sure that this will be but the first of our faerie friends to visit us here in our new home. And each of our friends that visits will be treated to just as royal an experience as the first, for here as there, We will always enjoy playing host to the festivities.
