the learning channel
So I'll admit to being a "design tv" junkie, you know Trading Spaces, WYWO and such. I only watch new episodes (gawd, I am bas off, just listen to me... no really I just watch for the cute guys), so I'm watching the new episode of WYWO and the designer is Mark Montano, and Tully walks in and says "that guy has a new show, I caught some of it for you today." I'm like all curious so I flip over to check it out (no its not TIVO, its just the DVR that came with my DishNetwork.) So this new show is called "10 Years Younger", and I was disgusted. Its "What Not To Wear" on steriods, shoved into a half hour. More like "What not To BE". Mark Montano is going to remake your look, to make you better. Ugh!Well but it got me thinking again about how Tolver and I missed out by not coming up with some TV show idea where the studios would pay us to do what it is that we have fun doing anyways while they film it, and pay us the big bucks. Look at all of the other queer couples that had the right idea: the Mythbuster guys, the Wildboys, etc.
And THAT got my brain going and I came up with a great one for us. We're allways going on about our wonderful 20 year commitment/relationship. And we think we know how to talk the hard talk to other people having trouble with their relationships. We'll come at it from the two different sides. And, we'll be super fierce! Like "girl! you better learn to put up with that everyday of the week, or you are going to be ALONE all your life!"
O well, you had to be here. But, at least it gave me something to write about! link | posted by Reese at 5:33 PM
